About the founder
Enterprise-level architecture, brought down to earth.
SprintOps IT Engineering was established to bring enterprise-level systems architecture within reach of growing businesses — while offering elite advisory capacity to organisations scaling complex workloads.
The consultancy is led by Raj, a cloud systems engineer with 15+ years in IT infrastructure — the last decade focused on designing, automating, and safeguarding cloud technology within the New Zealand corporate and public sectors.

A proven history in NZ infrastructure
Where I've done the work.
Cloud engineering & automation
Across recent roles I've focused on advanced automation, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and containerised orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS) to maximise deployment velocity and uptime — designing monitoring, patching, and alerting solutions that keep production systems healthy.
International remote engineering
For three years I worked remotely from New Zealand as a cloud engineer for AnywhereNow (formerly Anywhere365), a European software company native to the Microsoft Teams ecosystem. The role spanned automated end-to-end cloud operations, scalable Azure infrastructure, AKS workloads, and end-to-end monitoring for clients across multiple time zones — proof that the discipline travels well beyond a single market.
Public-sector environments
I've delivered infrastructure, automation, and support work within New Zealand public-sector organisations — including the Tertiary Education Commission and, earlier in my career, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment — contributing to systems deployment, monitoring, and technology upgrades.
Enterprise & logistics
I've supported large-scale operations and digital workspaces for major commercial organisations, including NZ Post, working on secure, high-performance asset tracking, deployment, and system refreshes across distributed teams.
How I operate today
I run SprintOps IT Engineering fully remotely — a deliberate choice that lets me work efficiently with clients anywhere in New Zealand and beyond, without passing on office overheads. When a project genuinely needs more capacity or specialist depth I don’t already have, I draw on a trusted network of cloud engineers and adjacent specialists rather than padding the engagement with staff you don’t need.
Professional philosophy
“I've watched organisations struggle under fragile, manually configured systems running on expensive, unoptimised servers. I founded SprintOps because the same technologies that protect a government agency or a large corporation — automation, serverless architecture, strict identity governance, and proactive telemetry — can be productised for any ambitious business, whatever its size.”
